As seen in the vast majority of open worlds, among the numerous features present within Hogwarts Legacy there is also the day-night cycle. The passing of time can happen naturally, or it can be done instantly by the players: here’s how it’s done.
To switch from day to night, or vice versa, simply open the game map from the pause menu, and then press the “Wait” item located in the lower right part of the screen. When playing on consoles, just press R3 on Playstation 5or it right analog stick on Xboxes Series X/Sand in doing so you can freely change the time of day and continue regularly with your adventure.
This option proves to be very useful as certain missions and activities can be carried out only at specific times: lessons, for example, can only be followed during the day, while the collection of some collectibles is strictly connected to the night. However, keep in mind that this option may not be available in all areas: in this case, just fast travel to the scenarios outside the Hogwarts Castleso that you can activate the time change at any time and at your convenience.
