As a result of tomorrow’s holiday and the one corresponding to Christmas, there will be a special scheme for waste collection, according to the Municipality. In addition, it was anticipated how the communal services will work.
It was specified that today the collection will work normally. For its part, tomorrow the service will be carried out normally in the delegations; while the collection of the Casco will be brought forward for noon.
“Although the collection in the urban area is at night, on the occasion of Christmas Eve it will be during the day,” they explained from the Municipality, and asked “that the neighbors take out the black bag between 10 and 12 p.m. Saturday”.
In a complementary way, on Sunday -as is the case regularly- there will be no service, it was reported.
In turn, from 1:00 p.m. today and until Monday morning, metered parking in the city will not be applied.
Likewise, it was specified that the Secretariat of Coexistence and Citizen Control will remain from today at noon with its doors closed for public service and no shifts will be given to obtain driver’s licenses.
However, from the area they will deepen inspections, road operations and night controls; and the 147 Neighbor Attention line will be available, which operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Together, it was detailed that all the areas linked to local Security will maintain normal operation with controls in the different neighborhoods of the Party.
With regard to health, today there will be nursing guards starting at 1 pm, and throughout Saturday and Sunday in the different Primary Care Centers (CAPS); while the Emergency Medical Care System (SAME) will work as normal.
For its part, the cemetery will function normally today, tomorrow and on Sunday the 25th, an administration guard will be maintained from 8 a.m. to 12 noon. For visits, the property will be open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Public transport today until 1:00 p.m. will work normally and then reduce its frequency. The rest of the weekend they will do it frequently on holidays.
The Central Market will open its doors tomorrow until 1:00 p.m. and will remain closed on Sunday, while the Regional Market will remain inactive on the 25th and will return to unload on Monday, December 26 from 4:00 p.m.
Regarding recreational spaces, it was reported that the Children’s Republic (Camino General Belgrano and 501) will open as a green space during the three days, from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., and the Ecological Park (Camino Centenario between 426 and 460) from 8 a.m. to 19.
It should be remembered that the provincial decree determined the holiday for December 23 and 24, while the Municipality of La Plata adhered to the measure starting today Friday at 1:00 p.m.
Banks
The Central Bank and La Bancaria confirmed that today the opening hours will be the usual ones. Both tomorrow and the day after, as usual, the banks will remain closed. Some operations may be carried out through alternative channels.
