During the night of Tuesday, a home-made bomb was thrown at a property in Boxhult in Uddevalla. According to the police, there is a trend currently spreading on social media that teaches how to mix household products in a bottle, which then swells and explodes.
– There will be a chemical reaction that causes the bottle to explode. It is exclusively young people who are doing this, says police spokesperson Lars Hedelin.
Dangerous consequences
A woman discovered the bottle in Boxhult and got some of the caustic chemicals on her skin.
– If you get these chemicals in your eyes, you can go blind, and if you get them on your skin, you can get burns. The children do not understand what extremely dangerous consequences this can have, says Lars Hedelin.
The police have drawn up a report of public dangerous devastation and a violation of the Explosive Goods Act, but currently have no suspects.
