However, recently the federal government has said that a comprehensive strategy must be implemented to address a complex problem and not leave it to “simplistic thoughts like using naloxone as an antidote.”

Mexico and the US agree to ban fentanyl
In Washington, the Mexican delegation was received by US officials.
The governments of Mexico and the United States pledged yesterday to collaborate to dismantle both the fentanyl supply chain and the Sinaloa and Jalisco Nueva Generación cartels on both sides of the border, according to a joint statement.
Delegations from both countries met in Washington to discuss actions against the illegal transfer of synthetic drugs.
