Sometimes showing affection means sharing your Netflix or Disney+ account password. Other times, simply forgetting to disconnect lets you connect to a loved one’s device. In the end, it can be difficult to know who has really access to our various SVOD accounts.

Which be a problem for multiple reasons. Indeed, this may pose a data security problem but you may just not want to pay to continue entertaining your ex or a former roommate. This is all the more true since, from this summer, you will have to pay a supplement to continue to share your Netflix account.

Thus, there are many reasons to do a little spring cleaning in your subscriptions to the various streaming platforms. So here’s how to find out who’s profiting from your Netflix, Prime Video, and Disney+ accounts.

Netflix loves detail. While account sharing will soon no longer be free in France, you might as well know who the people who have access to your account are. For that, it is very easy. Just go to Netflix and go to “Account”. It is in “Security and confidentiality” that it is possible to control who has access to this account. By clicking on “Manage access and devices”, you have the details of the latest activities of your Netflix account. If there is an intruder, he will be easily spotted.

It is possible to log out of any device individually. Even better, Netflix lets you sign out of all your devices. All you have to do is reconnect to the “good” devices.

Prime Video

For Amazon Prime Video users, it is also possible to monitor your account activity. When you go to the platform, go to “Account and setting”. Then, just click the “Your Devices” tab.

You then have access to all registered devices with the ability to unregister them one by one. Decoder, Smart TV or smartphone, the list is complete. If you want to go deeper into analyzing your Prime Video account, there’s a “Playback History” tab. And that’s when you realize the intensity of your binge-watching of The Office.

Disney+

Unlike Netflix and Prime Video, Disney+ doesn’t go into as much detail. If you want to control access to your Disney+ account, the maneuvering step is rather limited. In reality, the registered devices are not detailed and, therefore, it is not possible to disconnect such smartphone or Smart TV. On the other hand, you can disconnect from all devices by going to “Account”. Easy as pie.

To our greatest regret, CANAL+ does not (yet) offer the possibility of accessing the details of the devices that have access to our account, nor of logging out of all registered devices. Unfortunately. This is all the more surprising since the service can be linked to your Netflix and Disney+ accounts. We imagine that it will not be long.
