And so that they do not say that we do not believe him, we are going to recap the 4 pillars that he made known to achieve that goal:
- Recruitment of personnel to attend IMSS Bienestar hospitals: The 125,000 Health Sector workers who were eventually hired will have their base position.
- Improvement of health centers, clinics and rural hospitals: They will finish building them, make new ones and equip them.
- Solve medicine shortage: Medicines will be purchased in Mexico and abroad to guarantee their supply and quality this year and the next for free throughout the country.
- Guarantee the presence of doctors and specialists: Facilitate access to education for those who want to study medicine and specialties with scholarships, in addition to rehiring 10,000 retired specialists who are still able to provide service with a 5-year contract (maintaining their pension).
On that last point, AMLO accused previous governments of abandoning public education and prevent the entry of thousands of students to the medical career by rejecting them at universities such as UNAM.
