Never before have there been so many successful newcomers
In 2022 DJ Robin (27) and Schürze (33) started with their song “Layla” and Julian Sommer (25) with “Dicht im Flieger”. The songs suddenly became the party hits of the year all over Germany and heralded a generation change on Playa de Palma – also due to the health-related abdication of the “King of Mallorca” Jürgen Drews (78).
Of course, fans also love the songs of Ballermann icons like Mickie Krause (52) and Mia Julia (36). But it’s the fresh song ideas of the newcomers that have triggered a real newcomer hype at Playa since last season.

Mickie Krause on the newcomer boom to BILD: “It is important that there are always newcomers at the start, otherwise it will eventually become boring if only the well-known greats appear who have been running around in Mallorca for over ten years.”
Using Julian Sommer as an example, old master Krause explains: “A Julian Sommer, for example, is good for Playa and the party music, so I welcome the fact that new people are at the start and hopefully establish themselves. The colleague is doing a very, very good job.”

Krause even goes for a knighthood: “I see it similar to Jürgen Drews and me. I started in 1998, in 1999 I had the hairdresser hit, when Jürgen was 52 and I was 29. Now it’s the same with Julian Sommer and me, only that Julian Sommer is a few days younger than I was back then.”
Ballermann-Queen Mia Julia also recognized the newcomer hype, released a fresh party duet with Julian Sommer just in time for the start of the season with “Peter Pan” and thus delivered a very hot number for the summer hit of 2023.
But in addition to new song ideas from Julian Sommer, DJ Robin and Schürze are also reaching for a great, lasting career with their new song “Bumsbar”. The duo from the hit forge by Ikke Hipgold (46) wants to build on the success in 2023.
But they have to compete against party songs of some “newbies”.
Among others, newcomer Emanuel Bento (29) with “Hardcore Breit”, whose song Mia Julia ennobled with “was für’n Brett”. Beer king DJ Aaron (39) also wants to know about Inki Nici and David Richter and their song “Ciao, 3 days blue”.
What is striking: bad blood doesn’t seem to exist. On the contrary.

Emanuel Bento has an incredible feeling for music and lyrics and also an incredibly good voice, so my husband and manager Peter Brückner immediately felt his ‘gut feeling’ as an artist.”
Hit producer Matthias Distel, aka Ikke Hipgold (“Summerfield Records”) to BILD: “The last year has shown that newcomers have a real chance of making a lightning career and getting off to a flying start. Last year the old hands were a bit behind, which motivated the youngsters to step on the gas. Competition, diversity and new influences stimulate business!”

Beer king DJ Aaron is also enthusiastic: “The fact that there are so many super numbers this year is also great for us DJs. We have so many crackers that we can play that are always celebrated. There can’t be a more comfortable situation as a DJ than when there’s only one hit of the season, which people then demand all the time, which is then played dead at some point.”
In addition to the newcomers, show guarantor Mickie Krause will also be back on stage in the “Megapark”.
In addition to “Megapark” and “Bierkönig”, other party venues also recognized the newcomer hype. For example, the MK Arena hosted the “Ballerbang” event for the first time: Here, 20 newcomers were able to heat up the Ballermann fans.
