The leader of the group Searching Mothers of Sonora, Ceci Floresasked this Thursday the president of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, to attend to the case of the disappearance of his children, as well as has considered reviewing the case of “El Chapo” Guzman.
“Today I found out that ‘El Chapo’ wants better living conditions and that he wants to see his children, and that the president has said that he is going to review the case. I also want a better living condition and I want to see my children”said Ceci Flores.
In a video posted on Twitter, the activist and searching mother pointed out that she hopes that President López Obrador will attend to her case, because she has “begged” him to help her find and locate her children, without obtaining a response.

“I hope that the president also cares about reviewing my case, because I have been fighting tirelessly for seven years and begging him to help us in the search and investigation of my children, and at the moment I have no answers.”indicated.
He also stated that these statements are not against the drug trafficker or any cartel, but rather against the government that has been “Apathetic, insensitive and bureaucratic, which does not take families of the disappeared into account.”
On Wednesday, President López Obrador spoke about the request that the drug trafficker “El Chapo” Guzman presented to be extradited and tried in Mexico, noting that although it is controversial, “It cannot be ruled out without argument.”
“You have to see, I respect that position very much, but when it comes to human rights there are ways and there are international instances, so it is not to be ruled out because the main human right is the right to life,” he pointed.

“Anyone has to be guaranteed that right, we just have to see if it is appropriate or not, if we have, as Marcelo (Ebrard) mentions, we have the possibility to do it, if we have the power, but you always have to leave the door open when it comes to human rightsthe president pointed out.
“I have been fighting for seven years and begging him to help us in the search and investigation of my children, and at the moment I have no answers,” he said.
Ceci Flores has been searching since 2015 for her missing children, Marco Antonio and Alejandro Guadalupe.
In 2015, Alejandro disappeared on his way to work. Three years later, his sons Jesús Adrián and Marco Antonio were kidnapped, but only Jesús was released.
