While promoting his new movie ‘My Dad and Me,’ Robert De Niro announced that he recently welcomed a seventh child.
To everyone’s surprise, Robert De Niro has announced in an interview with ET Canada published on Tuesday that he had recently had a seventh child. The famous actor was promoting his upcoming film My dad and me, when the journalist asked him about his private life, beginning his question by explaining that he had six children.
“Seven, actually,” Robert De Niro immediately corrected her, before adding, “I just had a baby.”
No additional information has been released about the child, either the identity of the mother or the baby’s date of birth.
He confides in his role as a father
When asked about ET Canada, Robert De Niro said he doesn’t consider himself a “cool dad”, although Sebastian Maniscalo, who plays Robert De Niro’s son in My dad and meso described his character.
“You know, my kids don’t always agree with me, but they are respectful. My daughter who is 11 sometimes gives me a hard time and I argue with her. I love her, but you know. .. And my youngest, now it’s still to come. But that’s the way it is,” the star actor continued.
Robert de Niro had two children with his first wife Diahnne Abbott, who starred alongside him in Taxi Driverand two with actress and singer Grace Hightower from whom he has been separated since 2018.
He also had twins with model Toukie Smith, with whom he had a relationship in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
Regularly referred to as one of the greatest actors of his generation, Robert de Niro won two Oscars before his 40th birthday: that of best supporting role in 1974 in The Godfather, part 2 and that of the best actor in 1981 thanks to his interpretation of the boxer Jake LaMotta in Raging Bull.
