The coach has once again reiterated which players he needs to have the complete squad

There are just a few days left at the end of the winter transfer market session, and Turin hasn’t bought anyone yet. Yet Ivan Juric was clear about which players he would need to complete the squad, he has been for months, even since the summer transfer market session was underway: a left-footed midfielder and a striker are needed. For the first, Davide Vagnati has been negotiating Ivan Ilic for some time but the deal got complicated in the last few due to the inclusion of Olympique Marseille.

Turin transfer market: Juric’s requests

Regardless of how the negotiation for Ilic ends, Juric expects to receive a reinforcement in midfield. At the moment the only left-footed midfielder in the squad is Gineitis, who was brought on board from Primavera. Vagnati will try until the end to find an agreement with Verona and to overcome the competition from the French club but he has already started evaluating alternative tracks such as Jean-Victor Makengo from Udinese. As far as the offensive player is concerned, the coach would like a reinforcement in attack: Eldor Shomurodov is the main target, the problem is to borrow him with the right to buy. Roma are willing to sell him but only outright (or at most on loan with an obligation to buy) and at the moment they are responding to requests from Turin but negotiations will continue. In the meantime, Juric will continue to do his job at Filadelfia while waiting for the promised reinforcements.
