Immortals of Aveum is the name of the new fantasy shooter from Electronic Arts. Already in advance we had on one exclusive play event the opportunity to test the single-player adventure and pester the developers with questions. How long is Immortals of Aveum?
Behind Immortals of Aveum (buy now €79.99 ) stuck the boys and girls from Ascendant Studios. In an interview with EpicGames Studio boss Bret Robbins now spoke about the playing time of the single-player shooter. That’s what we’re talking about at least 20 to 25 hours of playing time, which can be significantly expanded with plenty of opportunities for exploration and optional content. “I started with a vague idea about a magic shooter, of course during the time I was working on Call of Duty, but very quickly the game evolved into something completely different. We’re not fantasy Call of Duty. We’re ours own game”stresses Robbins.
“We’ve got tons of world exploration, lots of puzzles, puzzle mechanics and lots of extra content. It’s a massive game. If you’re just trying to play through it in a straight-forward way, it’s going to take you about 20-25 hours and if you’re really exploring and all sorts of things If you want to make it, you need a lot longer.”
When is Immortals of Aveum coming out?
Immortals of Aveum is slated to release on… July 20, 2023 for PC, Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X/S appear. It remains to be seen to what extent the CEO’s big words will be followed by action. While Bret Robbins most recently worked on various Call of Duty spin-offs at Sledgehammer Games, his past journey has also taken him to Crystal Dynamics and EA, where he worked on the first Dead Space. For Ascendant Studios, which was founded in 2018, this is the first game in its history.
