The owner of the family group is the one who must carry out the process. In the event that the worker is abroad, the process can be done through a representative by means of a simple power of attorney.
How to register a relative in the IMSS?
The process can be done online or in person. Next, we present the requirements for both modalities.
Online procedure
Enter the IMSS website in the digital services section. It is recommended to have your CURP and a personal email on hand.
Enter and fill in the fields that are requested.
The documents required are:
- CURP for each member of the family to add.
- Social Security Number (SSN) for each member of the family to be added.
- Email.
- Data to answer the medical questionnaire provided by the IMSS.
Face-to-face procedure
You must go to the sub-delegation that most corresponds to you, according to your address, during business hours from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The documents required are:
- CURP for each member of the family to add.
- Social Security Number (SSN) for each member of the family to be added.
- Email.
- Data to answer the medical questionnaire provided by the IMSS.
- Current official identification of the owner of the family group. Original and copy.
- Proof of address of the owner of the family group. Original and Copy.
