Holding a position here, he falls in love with Algeria and even goes so far as to bring his family from India to discover Algerian culture together.

Arrived in Algeria a few years ago, Vijay has become a fan of the DZ way of life. The customs, the dialect, the savoir-vivre, but also, the humor, the latter succeeded in assimilating thehe basics of Algerian culture. “In the office, I often hear ‘tomorrow Inchallah ‘” he said sarcastically in an interview.

Vijay is from Rajasthanin India, and works in Satguru Travel & Tours, a multinational specialized in tourism and travel based in Algiers. Immediately after his arrival, he notices the warm and welcoming character of the people and feels immediately at ease here.
Throughout his experience in Algeria, Vijay notices similarities between his culture and ours. The wedding rites are “almost the same thing” according to the latter, referring to the traditional Henna ceremony among others. He underlines in passing the mastery of some of his native language “Some Algerians have never been to India, but they speak our language very well” he explains.
Mutual aid, sharing and sincerity, values that Vijay salutes in Algeria
If Vijay likes us so much, it’s because he met at a people fiercely honest and without ulterior motives “I noticed that the Algerians say everything in their hearts in front of everyone, but in the end, they are really calm and kind”. He also emphasizes the team spirit and mutual support that binds him to his work team here.

Values such as respect, understanding and cultural diversity are very present in everyday life, according to him. This is also one of the reasons why he bring his family here. “My best memory in Algeria is when all the teams came with me to the airport to welcome my wife. They put my family at ease and showed them how to adjust to life here, and that really touched me.”
