Throughout his experience in Algeria, Vijay notices similarities between his culture and ours. The wedding rites are “almost the same thing” according to the latter, referring to the traditional Henna ceremony among others. He underlines in passing the mastery of some of his native language “Some Algerians have never been to India, but they speak our language very well” he explains.
