James Mitchell Alicea, currently twenty years old, appeared in court this Thursday facing various charges before the law.
Sgt. Jose Torres, from the Hialeah Police Department, says: “one of them was to record a minor that is already considered child pornography, but later he has another charge of being able to give it to another victim.”
A case that according to the authorities, began in October 2021.
“Alicea and the 17-year-old victim at the time had consensual sex but the problem was that Alicea recorded it without the victim’s knowledge.”
A fact that according to the police becomes a crime. The police report indicates that “after finding out about her, the victim asked Alicea to delete her video, to which he replied to delete it if she had sex with him again, he also offered to pay to have sex again.”
But there is more, the young man later “gave the recording to a friend of the victim at the time she was 16 years old, trying to do the same thing with her.”
“That victim rejected Alicea’s wishes and reported it.”
After a long investigation that included a series of events and the identification of the victim, the authorities considered that the case met the criteria of child pornography according to the statutes of the state of Florida and James Mitchell Alicea was arrested.
“This fact is super dangerous, if you are the victim of a pornography video, especially when you are a minor, please report it.”
This Thursday the judge imposed bail on Alicea of $29,501.
