A pedestrian was injured in a traffic accident in Berlin-Friedrichshain. The 55-year-old was hit by a car on Landsberger Allee on Friday afternoon, the police said. Accordingly, the man wanted to cross the street at the level of the Europasportpark together with his wife – there is no pedestrian crossing there, as a police spokesman said on Saturday.
Rescue workers took the man to a hospital with injuries to his head and torso, where he was treated as an inpatient. According to information from Saturday, his wife and the 30-year-old driver were unharmed. More information about the course of the accident was not initially available. (dpa)
