PRI seeks internet access as a human right
Through an initiative, the deputy Marco Antonio Mendoza Bustamante, of the PRIproposed to recognize in the Constitution access to the internet as a human right, for this, he proposed that they be the municipalities that guarantee internet access for all people in schools, hospitals, as well as public squares.
Regarding the resources required for the population to access said service, the project establishes that it be the Secretariat of Finance and Public Credit in charge of allocating the necessary budget.
Access to this human right recognized by the UN will allow people to exercise others, such as teleworking, distance education or telemedicine, he said.
“If we guarantee that all people have access to the Internet, we can also guarantee access to other rights, such as health, education, work, culture, recreation, among others,” said Mendoza Bustamante.

Priísta points to the internet as a necessity
The deputy that access to the internet was recognized as a human right.
The PRI legislator stated that it is a necessity to have internet access due to current living conditions.
“The Internet is today a global village that has broken all barriers and we must all access it, because we are digital citizens,” said the PRI deputy.
It should be remembered that the United Nations Organization (UN) establishes that human rights must be associated with concepts such as freedom, democracy, equality, among others, since it is about involving citizens in decisions that directly concern them.
In this sense, the deputy indicated that Internet access was recognized as a human right.
