BURBANK— south of California is in full wave heat, and it is tempting to take a dip in a pool in the garden.
Police in the town of Burbank responded to a report of a bear in a residential neighborhood, and the animal was found sitting in a hot tub behind one of the homes.
After cooling off, the bear climbed a wall and headed for a tree behind the house, police said in a statement Friday.
Police released video of the animal in the neighborhood, which is about 10 miles (16 kilometers) north of Los Angeles and near the Verdugo Mountains.
Burbank police have issued several advisories to the public to avoid bears and keep all trash and food safe so as not to encourage bears to come near their homes.
