“ABSA informs that tomorrow, Friday the 20th, the repair of one of the main aqueducts for the water supply in the urban area of La Plata will be carried out”reads the statement of Aguas Bonaerenses SA (ABSA) released in the last hours and anticipated that as a result, a decrease in water pressure may be generated in a large part of the city.
The firm explained that The tasks will focus on two sectors of the 800-millimeter pipe located on Calle 50, at the height of the Faculty of Informatics of the UNLP; and they advanced that “to guarantee safety in the development of tasks” the pumping capacity of the Bosque Lifting Station must be reduced.
As a result of these works, “Low pressure or lack of water may be registered in some sectors of the area between streets 128 to 19 and 32 to 72”, warned company spokesmen. “Once the work is completed, the water service will gradually normalize and may generate turbidity,” they closed in this regard.
