Between 2019 and 2022, the Institute to Return the Stolen to the People (INDEP) sold more than 57 real estate insured by various institutions in the country, including the FGR. In all, he collected more than 396 million pesos in ten auctions made.

The first year of the current federal administration was the season when most insured real estate auctions were held. Only in 2019 the Property Administration and Disposal Service (SAE) conducted five real estate hammer auctions and promoted more than 160 real estate of which only sold 41.

The calls for the five auctions show that the assets were transferred to the SAE by institutions such as Conaculta, the Condusef, the IMSS, ISSSTE, the INAI, the SAT, the Tesofe, as well as the FGR and the PJF, among others.

Furthermore, in 2020, although six auctions were called, two were declared void and the sale of the other four was significantly lower. In this year’s exercises 13 properties were sold, for around 173 million pesos.

According to open data from the Institute to Return the Stolen to the People, in 2021 there were no auctions, while for last year only one was executed in the month of December. In the latter only two properties were sold for an amount of 5.3 million pesos.

Based on all real estate auctions carried out during this administration, bids were 64 commercial properties, 107 residential real estate13 mixed, in addition to 184 plots, some of them under construction.

Of all the bids auctioned, INDEP sold 57 real estateBy a sum of 396 million 422 thousand 176 pesos. Likewise, it is worth mentioning that the institute has carried out many other auctions to sell various personal property, including various pieces of jewelry, vehicles, unregistered vehicles and even ships.

Also, for this February 4the Institute to Return the Stolen to the People has a program First Auction with a Social Sense this year, in which more than 200 lots of movable property will be put up for sale.

Included in this upcoming auction are vehicles, boats, jewelry and merchandise of various kinds. Bids will be held at the Biblioteca México, located in the Plaza de la Ciudadela, Central neighborhood of Mexico City.
