After justifying his arrival in the MCU with the film Thunderbolts, Harrison Ford reveals why he agreed to return to Indiana Jones 5, one last time.

The criticisms againstIndiana Jones 4 and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull could have doomed the cult franchise, but it is not. Indiana Jones 5 will be released this year at the cinema with the participation ofHarrison Ford.

Indiana Jones 5, a matter of passion or money?

Even if Indiana Jones 5 and the Dial of Destiny will be debated with its opening scene, the first extracts look rather reassuring. We have more the impression of having a film that could be inserted after the Last Crusade, with a Nazi villain played by Mads Mikkelsen, traps that will put the adventurer in trouble, and the more unexpected return of John Rhys Davies.

But why did Harrison Ford choose to return for Indiana Jones 5 after an unappreciated fourth installment? Like some viewers perhaps, he wanted to see the end of Indy’s career.

I always wanted to do this. I wanted to follow the story to see the end of his career. But this is the last time for me.

Via variety.

“This is the last time for me”, a sentence already pronounced by Ford when he said goodbye at the Disney D23 convention. In Indiana Jones 5 and the Dial of Destiny, the adventurer will therefore face the Nazi Wernher von Braun (Mads Mikkelsen) – who has become a NASA engineer -, and his watchdog Voller (Boyd Holbrook.

In addition to finding the emblematic character of Sallah, Doctor Jones will try to survive this ultimate ordeal alongside his goddaughter Helena (Phoebe Waller-Bridge). See you on June 30, 2023 at the cinema for Indiana Jones 5.
