Juarez City.- To the beat of the song Aquel Amor, performed by the Cadetes de Linares, the Indios de Ciudad Juárez team achieved an overwhelming victory in their preseason game against the Faraones de Nuevo Casas Grandes by a score of 17-5.

In the game that marked the debut of the Sinaloan, Heriberto García, as the new manager of the tribe, the team asserted the locality, after hitting three impressive home runs by Carlos ‘Hulk’ Díaz, Eudor García and Julio Pacheco.

Although Heriberto’s process began with the wrong foot, the work of the Pharaohs’ gunboat, Alexis Facundo, who opened the scoring in the match, those from Ciudad Juárez knew how to quickly defend the gardens of the Carta Blanca Stadium, venue of the match, as it was barely enough an entry for the locals to go up by six runs.

Eudor García was the author of the tie, after connecting the first home run of the match. For his part, César Cano led the team with a run. With a full house, the brand new signing of the season, Carlos ‘Hulk’ Díaz hit another home run for the fans, the game was 6-1.

Cuauhtémoc Morales responded for Nuevo Casas Grandes. However, the Hooligans sang the Indians’ anthem again, after the careers of Óscar Aragonez, Carlos Díaz and Diego Ramírez.

Little could be done from the visiting bench to reverse the score, as the Pharaohs ran out of ideas after being victims of the third home run of the afternoon, courtesy of Julio Pacheco. The score spilled in the seventh inning, when the Indians added 17 runs in favor and only five against.

By decision of the umpires, the match ended in the eighth inning in favor of Ciudad Juárez, who will perform this Thursday, May 11 at the Juárez Stadium to begin the 2023 season of the State Baseball League against the Mineros de Parral.
