The defender, after the friendly against Cremonese, sounded the charge: “We have this possibility, we just need to concede in the final”
“Can Turin go to Europe? We are strong, the first part of the championship went well but we have to avoid conceding any more goals in the final minutes. If we play with quality we can achieve something important, we have this possibility.” These words were spoken by Perr Schuurs, a player who arrived under the Mole just four months ago but who is already a leader of the team both on the pitch, where he is now a permanent starter, and in the locker room.

The road that leads to Europe is steep and tortuous but Schuurs has clear ideas on how best to face it: “In the first part of the season we lost too many points in the closing minutes, for example against Inter and Sassuolo. We have 5 or 6 points less precisely because of those goals conceded in the final. We need to improve in this respect in the second part of the season, we need to raise the level of concentration”.
Schuurs wants to win qualification for the European cups with the Turin shirt, the only team that is currently on his mind: “Do I see myself again in Turin in the future? It’s a difficult question but I’m really happy to be here, I want to play and grow here. I don’t think about other teams and I don’t think about going anywhere else. I’m focused only on Turin.”
