The Austrian Integration Fund (ÖIF) is expanding the range of career platforms: Job seekers, asylum seekers and Ukraine exiles can in future get to know companies with vacancies directly at the German course institute and apply on site, according to a broadcast today.

The project is carried out together with the Professional Association of Employers of Private Educational Institutions (BABE), whose member institutes implement a large part of the German courses in Austria, according to the ÖIF. Companies from the region that are looking for workers can therefore present their employment opportunities to potential applicants directly to German course providers.

The aim is to support refugees and displaced persons in their rapid entry into the labor market. Because of the labor shortage, entry into the labor market and thus the ability to survive is “in many cases even possible with little knowledge of German,” emphasized Sonja Ziganek, head of the integration programs at the ÖIF. With an expansion of the part-time German learning opportunities, it will also be ensured that working people can also improve their German language skills.
