O B-MAD, Berardo – Museu Arte Deco, is getting ready to celebrate its second anniversary, and will have the special participation of two international specialists: Márcio Alves Roiter, founder and President of the Instituto Arte Deco Brasil, and Emmanuel Bréon, former director from the Museum of the 1930s in Paris.
According to a statement that the News by the Minute had access, the two specialists, scientific curators of the exhibition, will kick off a series of free initiatives, with two conferences scheduled for the weekend of April 22nd and 23rd.
‘The Pre-Cabraline Indigenous Origins of Brazilian Art Deco’ is the theme of the conference by Márcio Alves Roiter, at 3:30 pm on Saturday, April 22nd. At 5 pm, it will be time for a lecture by Emmanuel Bréon, ‘Art Déco – France et Amérique du Nord’ (Art Déco – France and North America).
“From the list of activities, the thematic visits conducted by experts in the style, who travel to Lisbon at the invitation of the Associação de Coleções | Coleção Berardo, purposely for this purpose”, can be read in the statement sent to the News by the Minute.

The visits, which are subject to a limited number of participants, will be conducted in Portuguese and French, “and will address thematic aspects within the collection that is on display”.
B-MAD, located on Rua 1.º de Maio, in Alcântara, will also host concerts and free entertainment during the two-year celebration weekend.
It is “desirable to schedule visits and conferences”, warns the same press release.
