With iOS 17.1, Apple is bringing an important improvement to the Photo Shuffle lock screen.
The lockscreen was introduced with iOS 16. It displays various photos that are regularly rotated as a dynamic slide show.
In the past, inappropriate images were often used in the ad
Previously, the selection of photos that could be displayed was very limited. Uninteresting and inappropriate images were often automatically displayed in the background.
Any photo album can be selected
It was just displaying random images from the media library. Apple focused on categories such as nature, animals and people.
Since iOS 17.1 you can choose an album from which the images are uploaded. This is how you stay in control. This means that all images displayed will be relevant to you.
iOS 17.1 is currently available as a beta and will be released as a free update for all users in late October or early November.
