Apple has announced that the price of repairing batteries for iPhones, iPads and MacBooks will increase starting March 1, 2023.
New year often rhymes with price increase. The iPhone is no exception to the rule since replacing the battery of the smartphone signed Apple will soon be more expensive announced on Monday, January 2, the apple brand on its website. From March 1, 2023, out of warranty, the repair of this component will be higher by 25 euros for all smartphones prior to iPhone 14.
Result: to substitute a battery iPhone X, 11 12 or 13, it will now cost 99 euros, an increase of 32%, and 79 euros for the iPhone SE, 6.7 or 8 for an estimated increase of 43%. The current prices for replacing a defective battery of iPhone X, 11 12 or 13 (75 euros) and iPhone SE, 6,7 or 8 (55 euros), will be valid until the end of February.

iPad and MacBook are no exception to the rise
Unfortunately, this increase also concerns the iPad and the Macbook. The bill will also be higher, 40 euros this time, for the following iPad models: iPad Pro 12.9 inches (5th generation and earlier models), iPad Pro 11 inches (3rd generation and earlier models), iPad Pro 10.5-inch, 9.7-inch iPad Pro, iPad mini (6th generation and earlier models), and iPad Air (5th generation and earlier models). With a battery replacement cost currently estimated at 109 euros, it will cost 149 euros from March 1.
Macs are not spared. The battery change will increase by 36 euros for all MacBook Air models and 60 euros for MacBooks and MacBook Pros. In addition, this will now be 185 euros for the first models mentioned and 289 euros for computers dedicated to pros.
On the other hand, people who have subscribed to an AppleCare + contract will not be affected by this increase because this service is already included. This is not the first time that Apple has raised the price of its services. The company had thus increased the price list applied to its applications available on the App Store. for all euro area countries in September 2022.
