Netflix Wednesday star Jenna Ortega was in Iron Man 3
Did you spot her? It was ten years ago but Jenna Ortega, the current star of the SVOD platform with the hit series Wednesday by Tim Burton, already played as a child in the film Iron Man 3. Barely 11 years old, the young actress embodies in this film the daughter of the vice-president of the United States Gil Rodriguez (played by the late Miguel Ferrer) who is missing a leg and who moves in a wheelchair. A short appearance (in a scene that barely lasts 10 seconds!) which is important in the plot since it is to try to cure her that her dad will team up with the bad-guy Aldrich Killian (Guy Pearce), who promises to administer the treatment in extremis to the little girl in exchange for confidential information… Jenna Ortega has thus signed her first “big” role in the cinema in a must-see Marvel. Not too bad for beginners! The actress has since returned to the big screen in Scream V et Scream VI.

Another new face in the cast
If in this Iron Man 3, and for the first time, the character of Nick Fury, played by Samuel L. Jackson, does not appear, another new actress has been welcomed into the cast. The British actress Rebecca Hall (Vicky Cristina Barcelona, The Town) had been given the role of Maya Hansen, thus passing in front of Diane Kruger, Isla Fisher and Gemma Arterton, other stars considered to join the Marvel saga.
