Israel kills four Palestinians in West Bank raid
Las Israeli security forces killed four Palestinians and injured eight others during an operation in the town of Kafr Ni’maeast of Ramallah (occupied West Bank), during the night of Monday, according to Palestinian health authorities.
In a statement, the Israeli border police confirmed having killed four people who tried to run over several agents with a vehicle during an intervention to arrest a suspect.
The official Palestinian news agency, Wafa, said that forces attacked the town after the incident with the vehicle, which led to clashes with residents, and Eight people were slightly or moderately injured.
Occupied West Bank experiences its greatest spiral of violence since the Second Intifada (2000-05), and so far in 2024 at least 207 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli fire, most of them alleged militiamen or attackers, but also civilians, including about 40 minors, according to EFE’s count, after closing 2023 as the deadliest year in two decades with more than 520 deaths.
