In Tel Aviv, one of the largest cities in Israel, around 80,000 people marched to demonstrate their opposition to the government of Benjamin Netanyahu, and precisely against the judicial reform promoted by the ultra-right.

The mobilizations were carried out with the slogan of “saving democracy” against the “overthrow of the political regime.” It is the second week in a row that there have been demonstrations in the country, and other areas such as Jerusalem were also affected by the protests.

The trigger for the demonstrations was the reform proposal presented by the Minister of Justice, Yariv Levin. This reform seeks to give the government control of the judge selection committee, limiting the authority of legal advisers.

From the parties of the center, the left and the alliance of the Hadash Taal Arab parties, who are calling for the resignation of the head of government, the first call for the protests arose.
