Israel's attack on Iran, live: US reports the offensive on a military base in Isfahn

The US embassy in Israel restricts travel of its employees after attack on Iran

The US Embassy in Israel has restricted personal travel of its workers outside the Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and Be’er Sheva areas “as a precautionary measure following reports that Israel carried out a retaliatory attack inside Iran.”

Likewise, the diplomatic mission authorized its personnel make trips between these three locations.

Israel would have launched in the early hours of this Friday several missiles against Iran in the province of Isfahan, in retaliation for the attack suffered last Saturday, a senior US official told ABC.

However, Iran has denied the attack and has assured that the anti-aircraft defenses have shot down several drones, while the Israeli authorities have not yet confirmed or denied what happened, something that, on the other hand, is usually common in this type of actions.

The US Embassy in Jerusalem did not alter its recommendations to its citizens in the country and reminded them of the “continued need to exercise caution and increase awareness about personal safety, as security incidents often occur without warning.”

“The security environment remains complex and can change rapidly depending on the political situation and recent events,” the mission said in the note.
