It is considered one of the best sleeves in history, but it has been more than 3,000 days without having a new chapter: Vagabond is still unfinished

Over the last few years we have been able to see a good number of anime and manga that have become timeless classics of their genres, such as Chainsaw Man, Jujutsu Kaisen or even One Piece, which has not finished yet, but its trajectory is practically round.

However, there is a manga that, despite being considered by many to be the best manga in all of history, has 3,000 days without releasing a new episode: vagabond. Created by the genius Takehiko Inoue, author of another masterpiece like Slam Dunk, this work starring Musashi Miyamoto (or Shinmen Takezo) had its last official chapter on May 3, 2015, no more and no less than 7 years ago.

For those who do not know this work, vagabond tells the journey of shinmen takezo, a very young, rude and violent swordsman who, after meeting a monk on one of his trips, begins a path of self-reflection and wisdom. The stoicist philosophy and the term “emptiness” are two of the great pillars of this manga, which goes from being a work full of bloody confrontations to a repetitive reflection on true happiness and the search for wisdom in oneself.

The author is delighted with vagabondbut unfortunately, the stress that causes him to draw and write a new episode caused the manga to suffer an indefinite hiatus that almost completely separated it from the most successful publishers in all of Japan. We do not know when this work will return, but we are sure that Musashi Miyamoto He has not yet made his last reflection.
