Activists block climate-neutral bus – “Totally pointless”

The “last generation” wants to paralyze Berlin, one of their goals: a climate-neutral coach. The driver has clear words for the activists.
With the blockade of a coach, climate activists met with a lack of understanding from the driver: Because the bus is climate-neutral. “It’s totally pointless,” Tilo Strohbach told the dpa news agency. But the “Last Generation” sees him as part of a larger problem.
Driver Strohbach couldn’t understand why the climate activists were glued to his bus: “On the bus, a climate-neutral vehicle – that doesn’t make any sense at all,” he says and laughs.
There are things that he can understand, “wherever I say, you may have to do something”. A sticking campaign on his climate-neutral bus is the last thing. However, the “Last Generation” explained their action: The bus was only a means to an end.

Activists wanted to block lobby events
The lobby association “Family Business eV” should therefore travel by bus to an event to which Chancellor Olaf Scholz (SPD) was also invited. The action prevented that. “As an influential lobbying association, ‘Family Business Association’ is impeding a rapid energy transition and also had the Federal Chancellor as a guest speaker today. That’s why we prevented people from arriving by bus today,” explained the “Last Generation”. The tape action on the bus was just one in a series of protests on Thursday.
