A 24-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman who were riding a motorcycle on Chacabuco street and Provincial Route 17, in the town of Eldorado, were run over by the driver of a vehicle that, far from stopping, escaped from the scene, leaving the seriously injured victims.

Shortly after, the alleged suspect appeared at the police station and gave a positive breathalyzer test, a mechanism that detected 1.39 g/l of alcohol in the blood, for which he was arrested.

The road accident occurred around 3 in the morning today and according to the statements of the victims, when they were driving on the aforementioned street, just as they tried to enter the route they were hit by the motorist who then fled. There were just people in the place who recorded the escape sequence.

The Third Section and an ambulance that arrived at the site assisted the injured, taking them to the Samic Hospital in Eldorado, where they are still hospitalized. The man presented polytrauma with fracture of the skull and femur, and as for the woman, she found fractures in the tibia, fibula and femur.

On the other hand, approximately 200 meters from the accident, on Los Cedros street, the vehicle involved was found abandoned. Likewise, around 6:50 in the morning, the person involved showed up at the unit with obvious signs of drunkenness and the breathalyzer tests confirmed that he was drunk.

After consulting with the Court on Duty, he ordered that the agents seize the vehicles for expert purposes by the Scientific Police and that the detainee be notified of the cause. The motorcyclists were also subjected to breathalyzer and the result was negative.
