“ANDThis poster, above all, was built thinking about the increase in investment on the part of Queima das Fitas in Coimbra, because we believe that Queima das Fitas should evolve in several fields and, above all, bring new musical variety. (…) We tried our best for this poster and these nights to reach a greater number of people from Coimbra and outside Coimbra, said today during the presentation of the musical poster, at Forum Coimbra, the general coordinator of Queima das Fitas de Coimbra this year, Carlos Missel.
The first day, May 19, features Linda Matini and Calema.
The bands Anaquim and Os Quatro e Meia perform the following day.
The program also includes performances by Bispo and T-Rex, on May 21, and X-Tense and Slow J, the following day.
After the Cortejo da Queima das Fitas, on the 23rd of May, Miguel Bravo and the Ladies are scheduled to perform, followed by Quim Barreiros.
The 24th of May is in charge of Gustavo Mioto and Ana Castela.
On the 25th, the program features Ivete Sangalo, and, to close the week of festivities, on Friday, May 26th, Mizzy Miles and Kevinho take the stage.
“As Ivete Sangalo’s concert will be a different, long concert, she will be the only artist to perform on the day (May 25th)”, explained Carlos Missel.
According to the general coordinator of Queima das Fitas de Coimbra 2023, general ticket sales have always sold out, with around 7,000 general tickets having already been sold.
On Thursday, the last 2,000 general tickets will be sold online.
Carlos Missel admitted a “very high” demand, as soon as the organizing committee announced Ivete Sangalo’s arrival at the event.
“It was a phenomenon. We believe that on that day the venue is completely full”, he stressed.
The maximum capacity of the Coimbra’s Queima das Fitas venue is 25,000 people.
For May 25 alone, the day the Brazilian singer performs, around 8,000 tickets have already been sold.
Asked about the ‘feedback’ for this edition, Carlos Missel said that both general ticket sales and one-off tickets are “exceeding” expectations.
