SAN FRANCISCO- Elon Musk received Argentine President Javier Milei this Friday at one of his Tesla electric car factories in Austin (Texas), and published a photo of both happily raising their thumbs, as part of a visit to the United States.
Below the photo was written “Freedom”, which in Spanish means “Freedom”, Milei’s motto.

Both “agreed on the need to free markets and defend the ideas of freedom,” as well as the importance of eliminating bureaucratic obstacles to business, a spokeswoman for the Argentine presidency said in a statement.
“Investment opportunities”
It was indicated that they also discussed investment opportunities in the exploitation of lithium, a mineral used in the production of cell phone batteries, electronics and vehicles such as those of Tesla and of which Argentina has significant reserves.
The Argentine ruler also offered to be an ally of Musk in his legal battle in Brazil, the spokeswoman added.
Musk is being investigated in Brazil for a lawsuit linked to the misinformation.
Musk has agreed to participate in an event in Argentina in the near future to promote ideas of freedom, according to Milei’s spokeswoman.
