The Jeep Avenger, the brand’s first electric model, was voted Car of the Year 2023 by a jury of 61 journalists specialists in the European automotive sector. The award was given to the automaker at the Brussels Motor Show, in Belgium.
The model of jeep competed with Kia Niro, Nissan Ariya, Peugeot 408, Renault Austral, Subaru Solterra/Toyota bZ4X and Volkswagen ID.Buzz. Last year, the big winner was the electric Kia EV6, showing the jury’s tendency towards models of this type.
It is worth noting that the Jeep Avenger, thepresented at the Paris Salon (France) in 2022, also has combustion versions, but the highlight is the VE variant. So much so that, among the finalists, three of them are electric and the other three are hybrids.
THE Avenger may be the model to popularize the manufacturer in the European region. The car is 4.08 meters long, 16 centimeters less than the Renegade, Jeep’s electric compact SUV has a trunk of 380 liters.

The model is built with the CMP platform developed by Peugeot-Citroën before the merger with Fiat-Chrysler, and uses a new engine of 156 hp and 26.5 kgfm, powered by a set of 400V lithium-ion batteries and 54 kWh of capacity.
According to official figures for Europe, the Avenger has a range of 400 km in the combined cycle, reaching 550 km in urban performance. The combustion version has a 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine and 100 hp with a 6-speed manual transmission.
