A year after winning the trial against his ex-wife Amber Heard, Johnny Depp is back in the world of cinema with the film Jeanne du Barry, which will open the Cannes Film Festival.
The Pirates of the Caribbean actor has concentrated on working in recent months, because after the problems he had with Heard, he had millions in losses after losing contracts with large production companies.
At the end of 2022, Depp toured with his friend Jeff Beck and filmed the film that will premiere in Cannes, a close friend of him claims that he is dating someone but is not yet his girlfriend.
“He thinks it’s perfect for this historical drama to premiere in Cannes,” a source told People.
Now Johnny Depp is concentrating on his family and living away from the crowds, so he moved to Somerset, a rural town in Great Britain. The actor commented in an interview that he is a shy person and sometimes he did not know how to react to people who approached him to ask for photos or just say hello, so now he has found comfort.
“In truth, I’m quite a shy person. That’s one of the best things about Britain, and especially Somerset: I can be myself, and that’s good,” he said.
The film Jeanne du Barry will be presented on May 16 at the Cannes Film Festival.
