It’s been 16 years since “I’m a Celebrity – Get Me Out of Here!” flickered across the screens for the first time in this country. But what actually became of the “stars” of the first season at that time? time to investigate.

The German branch of the British television format “I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here!” was a hit from the first season. Costa Cordalis: The pop singer
The always cheerful German-Greek pop singer Costa Cordalis won the very first season of “I’m a Celebrity – Get Me Out of Here!”. The musician has been very successful since the 1970s and even after the jungle camp, Costa continued to produce hits and was on stage with his son Lucas Cordalis, despite some health problems. The audience favorite died in the summer of 2019.
Lisa Fitz: The all-rounder
Also at the premiere: Lisa Fitz. The German cabaret artist, actress and singer was enraged 2001 still about the declining quality of German television, three years later she was part of it. Today the descendant of Hans Fitz is still present in the media. In 2005 and 2008, she starred in the RTL series “The Medical Examiner”. In July 2019 she was awarded the Bavarian Order of Merit.

Daniel Küblböck: The weird bird
The former casting show candidate Daniel Küblböck moved to the jungle camp in 2004 after taking third place in “Deutschland sucht den Superstar”. He then devoted himself to music again. With the income from his debut album, he financed a solar system in Bavaria. He also devoted himself to acting at an acting school. In September 2018 Daniel Küblböck went overboard a cruise ship on the night of September 9th. In 2018 he was pronounced dead.
Caroline Beil: The actress
Also the career of Caroline Bell remained stable after the jungle stay. In 2006 she played in “Gute Zeiten, Schlechte Zeiten”. In the years that followed, appearances on, for example, “Storm of Love”, “In All Friendship” or “Celebrity Shopping Queen” were added. In addition, she played in Dieter Hallervorden’s play “Die Wühlmäuse” in 2015, with which she 2018 even went on tour.
Werner Böhm: The musician
Werner Boehms alias Gottlieb Wendehal’s career could after “I’m a star – get me out of here!” no longer had any major successes. The eternal champion of the “Polonaise Blankenese”, with whom he landed a number 1 hit in 1981, passed away in June 2020.
Mariella Ahrens: The Countess
Married two years after the jungle camp Mariella Ahrens Mr. Patrick Graf von Faber-Castell. 2012 followed the separation. Like Caroline Beil, the St. Petersburg-born actress has appeared in all sorts of German TV series and films in recent years. Including “The Mountain Doctor”, “Rosamunde Pilcher”, “A Case of Love” and “In All Friendship”. She teaches acting at the film acting school in Berlin.
Susan Stahnke: Miss Tagesschau
2004 ex-Miss “Tagesschau” also drew Susan Stahnke out of their comfort zone into the jungle. At that time she was the outsider of the group and found little pleasure in the new environment and the tasks involved. 2017 Stahnke had to file for corporate insolvency. Her celebrity talk show “Tischsprach” was produced for the regional broadcaster Hamburg 1.
Antonia Langsdorf: The astrologer
From 2000 to 2006 was Antonia Langsdorf to be seen as a television astrologer on RTL’s breakfast television. Carlo Thränhardt: The athlete
The former German track and field athlete celebrated his high points, like Werner Böhm, in the 1980s. Nevertheless: 2012 presented Carlo Thranhardt set a new high jump world record. With 1.87 meters ranks on 1st place the age group M55. A year later he even added 3 centimeters (1.90m). He has been working as a fitness coach in the German Tennis Association since 2015. At the beginning of 2019, Thränhardt’s wife Constanze Linge-Thränhardt died at the age of 49.
Dustin Semmelrogge: The Pirate
As the son of the acting legend Martin Semmelrogge, it is difficult to make your own name. Drum pulled Dustin Semmelrogge (“Rita’s World”) into the jungle to prove it to everyone. Semmelrogge was after “I’m a star – get me out of here!” mainly seen in the RTL soap “Everything that counts”, there were also roles in “Hausmeister Kraus”, “Der Blender” and “Heldt”.
