Last year, 17 Kamp-Lintfort clubs were delighted to receive funding and a distribution totaling EUR 140,845 (previous year: EUR 110,000) from the two existing savings bank foundations for Kamp-Lintfort. The proceeds from the Sparkasse Duisburg Foundation and the “Children and Youth in Kamp-Lintfort” foundation once again supported charitable projects and actively promoted local clubs.

Both foundations currently have foundation assets of EUR 5.7 million. In 2022, the endowment capital of the “Children and Youth in Kamp-Lintfort” foundation was increased by 262,500 euros. A special donation of EUR 1 million was also made available for the Sparkasse Duisburg Foundation, of which EUR 105,000 is available for charitable projects in Kamp-Lintfort. For the presentation of the funding projects for 2022, the sports club Alemannia Kamp eV received the Sparkasse Duisburg, donation recipients and media representatives in their tennis club. There, the Sparkasse Duisburg, representing all recipients of donations from the past year, presented five funded projects in detail.

New ball machine for Allemannia Kamp

In the course of a realignment of the tennis department, the Alemannia Kamp club has recorded an increase in membership in the children and youth sector. In order to support the trainers with the increased number of training participants and to be able to guarantee demanding and effective training sessions, the club was financially supported with a grant for the purchase of a ball throwing machine. The purchase was supported by the Sparkasse Duisburg Foundation with 4,000 euros.

As part of the “Light on!” project by the friends and sponsors of the Ernst-Reuter-School Kamp-Lintfort eV, the school’s existing stage could be expanded with lighting technology with a grant of 11,000 euros from the Kamp-Lintfort Foundation. With new spots and light effects, the artistic results from the culture workshop can be presented to school children in a lively way.

Outdoor area and playground financially supported by the Kamp-Lintfort kindergarten

The parents’ initiative kindergarten Spatzennest eV was also financially supported with 15,000 euros from the “Children and Youth in Kamp-Lintfort” foundation for the redesign of the outdoor area and the playground. As a result, the club was able to set up new play equipment that promotes the children’s motor skills.

The cheerleading department of the Post-Sportverein Kamp-Lintfort eV received 4,800 euros from the Sparkasse Duisburg Foundation for the purchase of an air track. This air-filled mat helps to practice somersaults, jumps and flick flacks in a way that is easy on the joints. The PBC Joker Kamp-Lintfort eV received EUR 2,000 from the Sparkasse Duisburg Foundation. With the help of the funding, the association was able to finance the reupholstery of the billiard tables and new sets of balls.
