The ex-DSDS juror visited the editorial office in Berlin on Thursday, talked about her song project, among other things, and chatted happily – also about her ex-colleague Dieter Bohlen (69).
With XXL mane (“The hair is longer than my dress”), the “Sugar Mami” takes a seat on the newsroom sofa and tells how long her blatant Krasavice look lasts: “I don’t need that many hours myself, like my make-up and hair artist. Today it was only three to four hours, I hurried”, says Katja with a laugh.

On other days, the rapper also likes to disappear “six to seven hours” in the magic ball. Apart from that, it is important to her: “I always leave the house in the shower. Always. That’s a quirk of mine.”
Katja draws everyone’s attention with her bright red painted mega claws, but she says herself: “The nails aren’t there for me at all, I’m ‘Edward Scissorhands’ and I don’t even notice them. It’s just my hand – I’m just celebrating the look.”

Her glaring announcement to all haters and bullies: “I’m not any less good just because I dress THIS way and wear my nails THIS way. There are many comments about my look. A lot of people say I’m exaggerating. When someone comments on something like that, I enjoy fueling it. Then I want even longer nails.”
And further: “My biggest role model was my own hate. I wanted to prove to people that I’m worth it just the way I am. This rejection made me a workaholic. According to the motto: ‘Just wait, I’ll take you apart’.”

Katja promises BILD: “I will speak plainly on my album. And the video for ‘Frauen’ is just hardcore. It’s about the fact that women should and can do what they want. That should be normal, but unfortunately it is not yet.”

Speaking of planks. It’s no secret that Katja and the pop titan fought each other. Krasavice didn’t put up with his jokes and, for example, stood protectively in front of Jill when she was sexistically insulted by him.
When you visit BILD, the topic of the DSDS jury naturally comes up again. And Katja reveals that she actually had a positive impression of Dieter – until she experienced him up close.
“I actually think honest and direct people are cool,” says Katja. A year ago she recorded a song with him and Pietro. And the façade was crumbling: “At first he was polite and nice. I didn’t know it was a ploy from him when he needed something. The time back then was nice and professional, the video shoot was cool.”
But then everything turned out differently during the DSDS trip …
Krasavice: “His true colors came out. He must have thought to himself, ‘Barbie with the long nails, she’ll do it all’. Now I have the answer with my new song.”
And further: “I don’t care if Dieter Bohlen reacts to it. I know he sees it. He reads all the comments, gets upset all day. This is not good for him. He looks cool on the outside but I know what it’s really like on the inside.”
Despite the Bohlen-Beef, the time at “Deutschland sucht den Superstar” was worth it: “It’s ALWAYS worth being against misogyny and sexism. It was good that I was part of the jury, because I don’t know if another woman would have said anything against it.
Because: “I don’t sit next to anyone who slutshames women.”
