Keep the party going at Miami International Airport

We are now in Christmas and in the Miami International Airport (MIA) The party of its employees continues, in a peculiar and friendly way to encourage travelers who leave or arrive to spend their vacations in this bustling and effervescent city in the United States.

A video shared on the event site Only in Dade showed an American Airlines employee in front of the counters, singing with microphone in hand to entertain travelers.

“Tula’s room, which caught the fire,” the employee sang. The topic, composed by the Cuban singer-songwriter Sergio González Siabawas popularized by performers Ibrahim Ferrer y Pío Leyva as part of the album and tour Buenavista Social Club.

At another MIA counter a rival came out to surpass his colleague’s festive atmosphere. Also with microphone in hand, the employee dared to perform “La bilirubina”, the merengue of Juan Luis Guerra that has gone around the world.

In late November, a video recorded by a young traveler showed several American Airlines employees in front of the counters, singing Christmas carols, accompanied by tambourines, maracas and a güiro.

The leader of the improvised pachanga, güiro in hand, led the celebration, delighting the travelers, who laughed with the employee.

In the middle of the month, a Cuban family rehearsed a nice choreography to welcome other family members who arrived at the MIA, and thus avoid the dramatic reunion scenes that are repeated in this scenario.

Despite the tragedy of family separation and the drama of the Cuban immigration crisis, which leave sadness and pain in hundreds of thousands of Cubans, there are many who intend to receive their loved ones, leaving those feelings aside, and transmit optimism and hope to those who arrive, especially at this time.
