Sonora.- The State Security Board of the State of Sonora reported on the location alive of the 10 Colombian migrants who were kidnapped on May 2.

“This Friday, the ten migrants of Colombian nationality who had been reported missing, in San Luis Río Colorado, by their relatives, through the Colombian Consulate in Mexico, were located alive.

“People are currently receiving the corresponding humanitarian and consular attention,” it was reported via Twitter.

The rescue occurred three days after they were kidnapped when they were traveling, together with an unknown number of foreigners, aboard an “Elite Select” company bus, which was traveling on the highway that leads to San Luis Río Colorado.

Unit 3435 passed the “Cucapah” checkpoint, some 23 kilometers before the border city, on federal highway 2, one of the most important vehicle checkpoints that the Secretary of National Defense (Sedena) has installed in the entity.

However, at 11:00 a.m., the NGO 1800Migrante alerted about the kidnapping, and gave the Los Vidrios sector, between Sonoyta and San Luis Río Colorado, as the last location of the migrants.

The names of these Colombian citizens, who left their place of origin fleeing violence, are Esteban, 18 years old; Omar, 28 years old; Steven, 28; Claudia, 45 years old; Rosalba, 49 years old; William, 52; Carlos, 52 years old; Sandra, 53 years old; Oswaldo, 55 years old, and Edgar, 50 years old.
