The sword of the king of the underworld in the heart of Seiya hurt all of us fans of the Knights of the Zodiac. It was the death of Pegasus, the favorite hero of those who enjoy the manga and anime written by Masami Kurumadabetween the mid 1980s and early 1990s.

The series had to continue and the multiple spin-offs that are rolling on the Internet prove it. Masami Kurumada himself has repeatedly said that the Knights of the Zodiac canon has come to an end and it is a treasure that he keeps in his mind for now.

However, that has yet to be captured on paper in a manga. Masami Kurumada stopped because design work, creating new and more complex armors took all the energy out of him, in the 1990s.

As the portal remembers PTRwho rescues an old interview, the mangaka says: “I felt that I was losing all the energy I had with Hades-Hen, and I asked Shueisha to let me finish writing Saint Seiya in a little over ten weeks.”

“Saint Seiya was a very, very demanding manga for me. Designing characters with their more and more complex armor every day left me completely without energy. I stopped after Hades because I couldn’t go on anymore,” he added.

So how was Knights of the Zodiac going to end?

What came after the events lived in Hades? Many have their own versions and in fact some fans have developed their own sagas. But the reality is that Kurumada himself has expressed what his idea was to continue shaping the Knights of the Zodiac towards a dignified end for the bronze saints, who ended up becoming golden.

According to what the aforementioned portal reviews, Kurumada said that his idea was that Poseidon was going to join Hades and thus face Athenas. But the Greek goddess was going to be helped by Zeus in the saga of heaven.

In fact, the mangaka himself expressed that he did not like what they did in the Sky Overture.
