Through the usual year-end greetings on the pages of Famitsu, Konami confirmed that it has various projects in the works for 2023, including “news and announcements related to known series, as well as new projects on which we will update you as soon as possible“.
At Christmas, again through the pages of Famitsu, the producer of Konami Noriaki Okamura had used the term “Long Awaited” as the keyword for 2023. Okamura has worked as a producer on games such as Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops, Metal Gear Acid 2 and Metal Gear Survive in addition to having collaborated in the production of Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker, Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes and Metal Gear Solid V The Phantom Pain.
It is therefore clear that one of the first games that immediately comes to mind is the remake of Metal Gear Solid, for some time there have been rumors about a possible re-release of MGS and/or Metal Gear Solid 3 Snake Eater but so far nothing has materialized. According to Dusk Golem then Konami would be working on three other Silent Hill games not yet announced (including Silent Hill The Short Message) and we cannot forget other popular series such as eFootball, eBaseball Professional Baseball Spirits and Momotaro Dentetsu, the last two IPs particularly famous in Japan and Asia. We will know more in the course of the year that has just begun.
