While Konami unveiled many projects related to Silent Hill last September, it is now rumored that the publisher is preparing the return of Castlevania and Metal Gear.
Big announcements this summer?
Fans of these cult franchises have been waiting for their return for several years now, and it looks like this summer is Konami’s chosen time. In any case, this is what Andy Robinson indicates in the last episode of the podcast of
VGC.
According to him, Konami would prepare a “very big E3”, with the announcement of a new Castlevania game, and the remake of Metal Gear Solid 3. It is specified that the latter could also serve as a “test”, to know if the franchise still attracts players.
What Konami could do with the other episodes of the license, and in particular the remasters mentioned for a while now, is therefore still rather vague.
This obviously isn’t the first time that rumors have suggested that a remake of an MGS episode is in development. As always, we must be careful with these rumors, and we will be on the lookout for any official information on the subject.
