Krispy Kreme has decided to make make those who didn’t hit the Mega Millions jackpot feel better by offering them a sweet extra consolation prize. So even if they didn’t win the grand prize, they could get a delicious treat from the famous donut chain.
Excitement for Tuesday night’s Mega Millions drawing was heightened by the lack of an announced winner in Friday’s drawing.
Mega Millions announced that the estimated jackpot for Tuesday had risen to more than $1 billion, making it one of the largest in US history.
And it is that the jackpot is the fourth largest in the history of Mega Millions.
With so many people buying tickets for the grand prizes, there will be more people who don’t win.
This is where Krispy Kreme steps in to make everyone who loses feel more.
Therefore, all day today, people will be able to take a Mega Millions ticket from Tuesday’s drawing or a losing ticket from any other lottery game to a Krispy Kreme store to receive a free original glazed donut.
Offer is limited to one donut per customer while supplies last.
“Tuesday’s $1 billion lottery drawing reminds us that we definitely won the lottery when it comes to our fans,” Krispy Kreme said, according to USA Today.
“There are probably a billion reasons why we love them so much. So, this week we want everyone to win some ‘dough.’
The next drawing will take place on Friday at 11 pm ET and a prize of $1.25 billion is on offer.
