Max Kruse, who is currently without a club, has commented on a possible commitment to FC Schalke 04. “I don’t want to name any clubs. There were interested parties and talks”said the 34-year-old in a ‘double pass’ on ‘Sport1’ and added meaningfully in relation to Schalke: “There were also one or two clubs that are currently not playing the role they had hoped for.”
Schalke coach Thomas Reis said during the winter break: “Max Kruse is rather unlikely. He has great merit and I know he’s a very, very good footballer. But it’s still a different type of player. And we said we want to pick up some speed.” However, this does not necessarily have to rule out cooperation.
Wolfsburg change was “shit”
Kruse described his move to VfL Wolfsburg a good year ago as “Fuck”but justifies it as follows: “Economics played a big role in the Wolfsburg transfer, I stand by that. At the time, I also assumed that I would be working with Florian Kohfeldt, with whom I had a good relationship in Bremen.”
