A sector of the taxi drivers from La Plata came out to paint, free of charge, signs that demarcate the prohibition of parking at the exit of garages or in the area where rental cars stop.
This weekend, those who make up the La Plata Taximeter Drivers Union were in the Mondongo neighborhood, where the house of a retired couple suffers from illegal parking at the exit of their house despite the no parking signs.
“We found out about the situation of Rodolfo and Susana and we decided to paint the area where you can’t park so they can leave them alone,” said Juan Carlos Berón, head of the union.
The same workers did similar jobs in Meridiano V, 61 between 1 and 2, 37 between 4 and 5, 17 between 63 and 64, 13 between 32 and 33, 25 between 45 and 46, and in front of the Elementary school 55 of 62 and 28.
Last year they also demarcated the taxi ranks in different corners of the urban area of the City, as reported.
