The Voice Peru The new season premiered on the night of this Monday, January 16, and the first program was marked by emotional sequences, such as the moment starring the participant Oti Rodríguez, a former inmate of the Santa Mónica prison who moved the jury with her life testimony.

The talented 29-year-old was unable to move on to the next phase of the show, but before saying goodbye she gave an inspiring message for people serving prison terms.
“Those cups that you have in your hands are the work of the inmates of the Castro Castro and painted by the maximum security girls of the Women’s Annex Penitentiary Establishment of Chorrillos (Santa Mónica prison). I work with them because I am a former inmate and I promised myself and all the people who are deprived of their liberty that we can all find a new opportunity”said Oti Rodríguez with a broken voice.

“I want to emphasize something very important, These tears that come out of my eyes are not because I did not classify, but because I am very excited that a month ago I was in my workshop painting and today I am here (in La Voz Perú). This showcase is to tell you that all businessmen can go to prisons and invest. There are wonderful things that can be produced from prisons”he added.
Although she could not convince the jury of La Voz Perú —made up of Eva Ayllón, Raúl Romero, Maricarmen Marín and Mauricio Mesones— the artist starred in one of the most emotional moments of the premiere of the talent show.
MARÍA PAZ GONZALES IS REUNITED WITH RAÚL ROMERO
The 2023 season of La Voz Perú marks the debut of María Paz Gonzales as a host on Latina TV, where she was reunited with Raúl Romero.
The popular ‘Pazita’ and Romero shared a television set on the now-defunct program “Habacilar”.
