FC Bayern is apparently currently negotiating a short-term farewell to Marcel Sabitzer. As ‘Sky’ reports, both Manchester United and Chelsea want to sign the 28-year-old midfielder. Talks are currently underway.
Since the beginning of the year, Sabitzer has only been on the Bayern bench and was pushed aside in the internal ranking by Ryan Gravenberch (20). In the summer, Konrad Laimer (25) will also see new competition in the centre. Now a farewell could be preferred.
United have been without playmaker Christian Eriksen (30) for months and are now looking for a last-minute replacement. Chelsea sold a six to Arsenal FC with Jorginho and became aware of Sabitzer in this context. Players can still be transferred to the Premier League until midnight.
Update (2:28 p.m.): According to ‘Bild’, Sabitzer is about to move to United. According to the Telegraph, a loan is planned.
